Innovation is all about building and contributing to a great community.

One of the reasons I love working with innovators is the level of collaboration. Very few ideas become great by themselves. There is usually a DRIVER, like an inventor, who relentlessly pushes the idea forward. And there is a TEAM around that driver—the team brings specialized expertise to the idea to make it a reality.

Steven Selikoff is definitely a team player and one of the people I'm glad to know and recommend to product innovators and e-commerce businesses. He provides immense value and expertise in the product development process. In fact, he wrote the book on it—The Complete Book of Product Design, Development, Manufacturing, and Sales—as a tool to help innovators navigate the process from start to finish.

I thought it would be great to team up with Steven and talk about the "legal milestones" in the product development process.

So we did. Here's our conversation—I think you'll find it informative and entertaining. It’s especially helpful to talk about the milestones to watch out for and when they fit into the overall design timeline.

There was a lot that went into this discussion, and we want you to see the full video discussion. We also added legal milestone markers to Steven's Product Development Roadmap so you can download a copy for yourself and follow along in our discussion.
