  • "Outside patent counsel" for SMEs and global corporations, including the #1 patent recipient of US issued patents
  • Managed international patent and trademark portfolios spanning 20+ countries: US, CN, JP, KR, EU (UK, DE, FR, IT, CH, NO), TW, HK, MY, BR, CA, AU, RU, SZ, and more
  • Resolved patent assertions (multiple "cease and desist" letters) against a fitness equipment manufacturer
  • Helped hundreds of inventors use the patent process to move from "idea" to "startup"
  • Built patent portfolios for startups who raised $6 and $10 Million based on pre-revenue IP assets
  • Filed, prosecuted, and received several patents personally (licensed to multiple licensees)
  • Obtained issued patents <1yr (from filing to issuance) for multiple "cleantech" clients
  • Led one of four technical litigation support teams (out of 30 attorneys) for a computer processor company defending against patent infringement assertions
  • Actively participated in several startup companies (legal, marketing, financial, and overall strategy)
